The most popular center for winter sports, skiing in the province of Bursa, Turkey is Uludag. The mountain was previously known as Mysian Olympics. It is also famous for summer sports such as trekking and camping. The 2543 meters high mountain is known to be the tallest among Marmara region. 

Uludag, being one of the largest ski center located in Turkey is a central attraction for the tourists.  The Uludag Ski Center has two components. The first component has been running while the second component is under the development process. The first component has around 16 hotels and they are running quite well. While the 2nd Zone has been declared the “Tourism Center” in 1986, yet it is still under-progress. But it has been in the news that there is a capacity of 3300 beds and 11 hotels to be arranged. These hotels have their own lifts which serve customers and try to facilitate them as much as they can. 

The famous Uludag Ski Centre has a number of rooms available for skiing that are hired, numerous skiing kits for sale and experienced ski trainers available to train customers in skiing. The location can be enjoyed by the customers by getting in to the long queues for the chair lift. Most of the chairs are elderly single or double having a T-shaped. And if, finally you get the chance to enjoy the ride of the chair lift, you are good to go for the skiing adventure. The highest point of the lift is at a height of 2235 m, from where you can have a look of the hills hiding the blue Sea of Marmara. 

The trained and the intermediate level skiers have access to the wide slope areas such as the Ulukardesler, Ergun and Fatin lifts which gives the way back to the Ski Resort. The Fatin point is famous for the sports activities and especially for the beginners. For the beginners, there are several wide nursery slopes that have been carved above the hotels, in the trees. Under the shades of trees of Fahri, Beceren and Kervansary, there are the most popular ski nurseries for the beginners. Chair lift systems built in this area have the access to the best nursery terrains located in Uludag. 

The Ski Training Center runs great during the midweek when the clients are few and the teachers can fully concentrate on each and every individual. But there is apparently a danger because on the other side of the Ski Resort, there is a national untouched forest and the probability of being attacked by a bear or a wolf can’t be neglected.
 

The Ski Resort in Uludag is a good place to spend a holiday at. The adventurous skiing experience and heart throbbing scenarios of the beautiful natural locations of Turkey makes some unforgettable memories for the tourist. To be really honest, this type of adventure requires a level of tolerance as things might get creepy at certain times and might result in inappropriate pleasure. But this a great place to have fun with the snow balls with the loved ones.
